Hello All,

Is there any ERD which could help create ERD on views? I tried few of them like ER Studio/ERWin/SQL Developer Data Modeler but did not work. They claim to support views in an ERD but relations (auto detect) doesn't show up. I cannot manually add them either.

Most of the Microsoft products expose their systems as views (example config mgr), i wonder how do they document their views?

We JUST added support for this in the latest version of SQL Developer Data Modeler, 4.1

Also I'm assuming you mean the relational diagram...

I tried SQL Developer Data Modeler, 4.1. It would kind of satisfies my need but it is very unstable.
1) keeps crashing
2) Image option for adding a logo image i useless. Cannot hold hi-res pictures. Cannot resize them. Sometimes it just hangs.
3) There is no automatic relationship resolution between views (simple or complex) based on column names.
It is manual work to create the relationships (imagine you have several hundred tables)

It is free, i cannot complain.

You can't complain, yet you just did. But that's OK, it's the Internet.

1. My car won't start, why? You need to give me more information. What sort of error stack is it crashing with? You mention several hundred tables, my first guess is that your JVM needs more memory.
2. Big pictures, dropping into a model..guessing again, memory.
3. Yes there is. You just have to know where to look for it.
