Hi All,
Kindly guide me,
One of our Production DB's oracle instance service gets stopped automatically, hence DB shutdown. None of other services are facing problem.
In alert log file, there is no intimation about the service stopped.
Kindly suggest.

Hi,
In the windows event log, it shows the below error message.
In this server it is first time occurring.
Oracle Fail Safe Resource *** failed to complete IsAlive poll within timeout interval.

Hi Michel,
Sorry for the delayed reply.
We are not using RAC.
We just have the FAILSAFE with 2 servers.
We have found the issue:
------------------------
1) There is a mechanism called ISACTIVE in windows, which was disabled, but still it got triggered and enabled automatically.
2) The reason for is, heavy load of activities taken place in DB.
3) Where the node should supposed to be shifted automatically, but we had disable the option of node shifting automatically.
Which was the reason, the server were stopped, as it couldn't shift the node.
