Dear all,
I am deploying oracle golden gate in archive log only (ALO) mode only. I am planning to setup a intermediate OGG server where i will keep all my arch. logs shipped from source DB server.
The issue is:
Source : AIS 5.2 oracle 9.2.0.8
Intermediate server (option 1): Power 6 or 7 with AIX 6/7 OGG 11.2
Intermediate server (option 1): x86 machine with RHEL 6/7 OGG 11.2
1. As OS of source and intermediate are different, Arch. logs shipped from source to intermediate server will remain intact and can be read by OGG? I believe arch. logs when copied will not get corrupted/got unreadable due to difference in OS versions.
Any clues?
