one of my customers is getting the intermittent error
when trying to login.
File server running oracle 8i under win nt pro.

What is causing this to happen? my work around is to
reset the file server and then users can log in successfully.

This can happen one or twice a week.

I previously had a problem with getting the database
to start automatically which was resolved by Bug fix.
Could i be hitting another Bug ??
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Ian

might be casued by different factors.
pls check the alert_< sid >.log
and post the exact messages.
Mostly is to do deal with logfiles/LGWR process
or
temp tablespaces.
