Good Morning,
I apologize for the ineptness, however I have a slight problem.
I currently use Oracle 7.3 on NT Server. I have created all the init.ora files, created all the services in NT Instance Manager. However, after I set the oracle_sid and connect to svrmgr, I type my create db sript. After this I recieve the following message database not open
The scripts and init.ora are in the d:orantdatabase directory.

svrmgr> @create_db_xxx.sql
Database not open
svrmgr complete.

Have I done something wrong?. Assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Hi

Did you issue a startup nomount BEFORE the CREATE DATABASE statement?
