Ah. I'm afraid I'm un-intellectual-ized. To me, some of them are good (12, 15, 19), some are questionable (3, 8), and some are WTF? (1; they do? (take things literally))

There is nothing so un-funny as an explained joke. But.....

I don't understand 3 either (which is embarrassing because I did study logic, long ago) but 8 is nice. The kid is either a boy or a girl, so the answer has to be "yes". It would only be "no" if the kid were, for example, a potato.

update: and, by the way, I think 4 is my favourite.

The first logician knows if he will drink or not but he does not know if the others will.
So if he won't the answer would be "No". The answer was "I don't know" so the 2 other logicians know he will drink.
Same thing for the second logician.
So the third one knows the first 2 will drink and the answer only depends on his choice.

8. The question is, from a logician point of view, "is the proposition 'is is a boy or is it a girl?' is true?". The answer is indeed, I think, "Yes". Smile

OK I admit it is a little bit far-fetched.

Kleptomaniacs take (steal) things.
Appreciation of puns require you to understand both meanings, which you can't do if you 'take things literally', an English expression meaning you only ever see the one obvious and literal meaning of a statement.
