Hello,
I created a user with password last month. after what happened to the firewall and I haven't logon it until today. When I logged on, i get:
ora-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied.
keep trying and it's locked the account. I dropped the user and recreated it. It logged on fine. Now, it's stopped working.
ora-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied.
Can you tell me why with appreciate?
thanks,
BV

I don't know Oracle is too dumb to lie or I am dumb but if I do
sqlplus /nolog
connect user/password
connected
but if I do
sqlplus user/password
I get error...
and in another hours, it worked fine sqlplus user/password even I scrolled back screen, copy and paste the password.

bvo65 wrote on Fri, 06 February 2015 10:59Due to the Gov't Policy, I can't copy information from high side and put on low side
What does that mean? what is a high side and what is a low side and what does either side have to do with Oracle?

Gov't policy. The physical nature of unidirectional networks only allows data to pass from one side (referred to as the "low" side) of a network connection to another (referred to as the "high" side), and not the other way around.
high side network is not allow you to access to any sites like google, yahoo, oracle, bing, msn, etc.... It is restrictly in security model.
