I am exploring options to do load testing/performance testing on our database servers .Starting with Apache JRunner.
Does anyone has experience in using Jmeter or similar tools ?

Or any suggestion for any other "free" tools that are available in market for benchmarking ? Thanks

It appears you have a 3-tier application.
is above correct?
if so, which layer do you want to benchmark?
