All other modules (AP, AR, PO, INV ...) can be opened period. only GL open next period doesn't work. Even though I click " open next period ", it still hang there.

How much time is it like that?
Is the ledger calender ends on Dec and starts with Jan?
In that case opening period has to calculate too many things in the balances. It might take time.
If possible, check with your DBA what is happened at the database level for this concurrent program.
It is not a good idea to terminate a concurrent program just like that.

I really doubt this is relevant to your issue.
Moreover from ETRM, this table is for internal deadlock issues.
Also the last_update_date is 2014.

Hello Vamsi,

How can I solve this deadlock issue?
As I know if "concurrency_entity_id is not = -1, it is something wrong. Should I just delete it and re-open the next period again?

Thank you
James
