hi ..
i set maxtrans 1 for a table ..
and two concurrent transactions updating the same
table ... mean maxtrans has no effect ..

pls explain ...

When did you setup this value? At table creation time or after? How did you set it up - by ALTER TABLE table_name MAXTRANS 1;? If so, I have to disappoint you - it doesn't work this way!!

You will need to recreate the table(s) (exp/imp or move it with this parameter changed) to change the PCTFREE, PPCTUSED, INITRANS and MAXTRANS values.
