Hi
Where can I find the complete version including patch version in my Windows server?
Is it in the reg? or a file?
I need to find the RDBMS version of my server, by script, before I´ve have an instance. How do I do that?
Merry Xmas
Kim

The problem is that, if there´s no oracle_sid I cannot get the version, se below.
The other thing is that I cannot use this method, because I´m building an installer using installshield, and need do know the version, before the instances are created.
I cannot find anything in the registry or in any file that contains e.g. "8.1.7.0.0"
