My company ask me to share the oracle database data on web,web developer ask me for a web service by which he can extract data from oracle.

How can i create the web service in oracle which return the rows on web site. I am new in Web service kindly guide me.

I am using Oracle 10g database.

Your question is rather large. A project to make database content available on the web is not something that will take only a few clicks. If you want a rapid application development tool, I would suggest APEX, http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37097_01/doc/index.htm

I googled for 'Oracle XML DB Web Services' and found http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/11g/native-oracle-xml-db-web-services-11gr1.php

As far as I understand to export the data via web service is quite easy (because included in 11g). It's a matter of few hours.

The dev needs to code the web front-end/client. That's the real work! Am I wrong?
