Hi

I have images/pics over 500(each 200kb approx..), and would want to store them in a database, and access through front-end applications like VBasic, but really concerned whether that might give performance problems....at present I am keeping'em on a different server, and accessing by UTL_FILE_DIR parameter in INIT.ORA

I would appreciate if you let me know any better solution on this!

Hello,
u can go ahead with the data types like RAW and Long Raw / BLOB datatypes.

Second half , lets see whats others says as i never Implemented and tested this in Real-Time..
