Hello Everyone,
I've installed ORACLE 9i database and i've noticed all my entries and all the names for the objects that i created are changed to upper case letters even though i had entered lower case letters.
I don't think, the ORACLE 9i installer ever asked me what character sort order do i want to install.
I do have some experience with MSSQL Server 7 and during install we get to select either the case-insensitive sort order or the case-sensitive sort order.
Can someone plese tell me why ORACLE 9i changes all entries to the upper case. And what happens when ORACLE 9i needs to compare characters to see if they are equal?
I appreciate if someone can give me some info!
Thank you,
Mitra
