Hi,

I have installed Oracle 9i server on win2k.
If I try connecting by specifying the sid
eg- system/manager@sid
I get Ora-03113
If I dont specify it connects.
What could be the possible solution.

ALso please note that I created the database manually,after database configuration assistant gave errors ,during installation.

Try this:

c:>set oracle_sid=sid
c:>sqlplus /nolog
SQL>conn system/manager@sid

Also check your TNS service name for sid in tnsnames.ora file.
