Hello people,

I'm new to Oracle.
Recently my organization plans to migrate from DB2 to Oracle 9i, so I'm testing it.
I want to to use some features which requires Management Server installation.
I had configured the Enterprise Manager as described in online documentation with EM configuration assistant

I've entered the correct host name, intelligent agent is up and running, it seems everything is OK, but i cann't login on to management server, it gives me the following error:

VTK-1000: Unable to connect to the management server.
Please verify that you have entered the correct host name and the status of the Oracle Management server.

So what's the deal???

Thanks in advance!!!

first verify whether OMS database is up and running
and u cann connect to that using sqlplus.
make sure,
the intelligent agents in concerned nodes should be running.
OMS should be available.
now login to OEM console...
