While installation of Oracle 9i Databse Enterprise Edition on Windows 2k I am getting this error.

It occurs during Oracle Database Configuration Assistant.

During this event first two stages it runs without error but it throws this error while creating instance that is 3rd step..
please help me somebody..
I am very much in need of help..
I am searched for the net..but it only says to report this as a bug or contact Oracle Support service..
But I need a solution immediately...

did you check the service packs??
9i on win2k requires at least an SP5 (recomended is SP6). for 9iR2 go with SP6a

Hi Mahesh ..

Are U sure ... I believe the latest SP for W2K is SP3

SP6 is for Windows NT...
