Does anyone have a suggestion on how to monitor table growth? I am already monitoring free space fragmentation as well as extents and segments, however, I want to have a script that will alarm for unusual table growth and am not sure how to monitor it.
Thank you in advance.

Since tables reside in tablespaces and datafiles tends to run out of extents, you better monitor the tablespace growth over a time period.

If you are on UNIX scripts like That one could do the job.

Otherwise, OEM has Tuning Pack which can do the same thing.

Hope that helps,
