No doubt it is.
Many forums are just a copy of topics of well-known forums. This one is special, it changes the names and dates.
Are you register to see the team?
Note one of their rules is "Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. ", so maybe Frank would copyright the content of this site to put an end to this plagiarism.
When I saw it, I registered and that itself was rather interesting. An autoresponse said my application would have to be reviewed and approved by a moderator and I would receive an email notification. Never got the email, but I tried logging on anyway .. and was successful. I then posted into that thread, pointing out the duplication, and was again autoresponded that my post would be reviewed for approval. It still hasn't shown up (just a couple of hours though, and approval comes from the other side of the planet). It will be interesting to see if it is approved at all, and if so what response it might draw.

I know I am not posting on other forums under a different name .... and somehow I doubt Lalit is, either
+1.
I use same handle(my real name) on all other forums.
After looking at both the links, even I feel this post in DBAmetrix forum has been simply duplicated to a great extent. Blackswan's replies have been copy pasted by some user "helendba".
And my reply is copy pasted by some user "smith_dba".
I confirm, I am not "smith_dba" and I don't know any such person either. That entire thread in DBAmetrix is just fake. Plagiarism at it's height.

The IP address of www.dbametrix.net also hosts www.kendba.com, which claims to be an Oracle training organization.
I think it is an Apache web listener with two virtual hosts. If I were to write a little procedure with an endless loop that calls utl_tcp.open_connection to their address, how many sessions do you think I would need to bring down the web site? Possibly only a few hundred.
Please note: I have no intention of doing this, it is merely idle speculation. I have often thought that an Oracle database would be a very powerful tool for a DOS attack.

John, I also posted about this on OTN, where a respondent thought to do a "whois" at networksolutions.com (I'm not enough of a web guy to remember things like that off the top of my head). Seems the site is registered on godaddy to one "Gitesh Trivedi". A google search on his name turned up some interesting hits on self-promotion. As an ironic twist, one of the google hits was a thread on in.answers.yahoo.com, where someone was asking anyone to post content from a book of interview questions by Gitesh Trivedi. The sole answer was "Buy a legal copy of the book. Don't steal from Gitesh Trivedi." Seems Gitesh Trivedi doesn't mind his own site stealing content from others ... I can't advocate malicious actions against his site, but can't help but wonder about the outcome of Google picking up these discussions in response to searches on "Gitesh Trivedi" or "oracle interview questions" or "dbametrix solutions" or "kendba" ....

One final observation (I've already spent way more time on this than I can really justify).
Last night I spent about 30 minutes seeing if this was a pattern or if the thread I found was a one-time event. It appears to be a pattern.
I went to the "Oracle Database Administration" forum at dbametrix and just started down the list, opening each thread in turn. I'd copy the entire opening sentence, then google that. Most, but not all, of the threads I checked turned up a matching thread from orafaq. The few that did not have a match on orafaq did not seem to have a match anywhere else, either.
At this point I am amused, irritated, and curious. Curious as to what they think they are acomplishing. There is no commercial content on the site, and no obvious links to the other sites run by Gitesh Trivedi, so it doesn't appear to be a matter of driving traffic to their commercial operation.
However, the high "match rate" I see between dbamatrix and here suggests the operators of this board may have a case ...

Usually, most of the cyber crimes directs to Russia. As the name Gitesh Trivedi is coming up, he must be an Indian origin.
Where does the IP directs to? I mean which country or geographic location precisely?

Ed, Indeed a nice observation. It seems to be an incremental work of plagiarism(really their work is in progress).
