First of all my server is P4 so i can't install Oracle8i build 8.1.7 from CD. First i copied Oracle8i build 8.1.7 into my harddisk, then i renamed sycmjit.dll to sycmjit.old. Then i completed instalation successfully. But when i restart PC, it gave exception like this :

Unhandled exception in java.exe (SYMCJIT.DLL) : 0xC0000005 : Access Violation.

Then this file in c:oracleora81Apachejdkjrebinsymcjit.dll, i renamed this file to symcjit.old, now no poroblem ! Do you think that this renamed file, can be used by Oracle Appache Server ? is this file cause some problems in future ?
Please inform me !

Hi,
I had similar kinda problem when i am installing oracle on p4, and so far no problems.

No problem you can go ahead. All of my servers are working perfectly with the same installation i've done on P4

This is perfectly fine, i have more then five P-4 servers...... i have tested & run with all combinations ...everything is running smoothly with its maximum functionality.
