I have a question regarding SQL Developer. When opening a SQL Developer worksheet, there are two different panes or work areas; the upper pane contains the query code and the bottom pane contains the query results (output). Using the
Tools===Preferences tab, I was able to enable line numbering for the top pane (code) but I haven't figured out how to enable line numbering for the bottom pane (results area). Does anybody know how to enable line numbering for the bottom pane? Thanks!

Which SQL Developer version do you use? Mine (3.1.07) shows line numbers in the results (bottom) pane (I don't use SQL Developer regularly, but I can't remember I set it manually - I believe it works so by default).

If you're outputting a statement, you get a table with row numbers. If you're outputting a script, you don't get row numbers unless you choose to code them in.
