I have installed the Oracle 8.1.5 Enterprise edition on Windows XP Professional. It did not give me any error while installing.

But when I am trying to log in to the SQl window using the default system/manager, I get an error Oracle not available.
I have tried to start the service from Administrative tools/services window But failed

What could be the problem? Please help

what kind of error are u getting?
pls post the exact error number and message
