Hi there
I have a production server version 8i on sun
we have scripts that run at night and we found this in the oracle log file
ORA-1652: unable to extend temp segment by 7680 in tablespace TEMP3

after did we recycle Oracle did we regain the space that was taken up on Sunday night? Doesn't Oracle deal with this automatically

How do we preform a ctas and make sure that triggers also come over from the other database
Any help would be great

Hi,

I think the TEMP tablespace assigned to this user is too small for the sort, and you did not specify this TEMP tablespace can autoextend.

if the TEMP3 tablespace is of type 'temporary', then after the recycle of the database, the tablespace size goes to zero. Confirm the type of the tablespace TEMP3.

Anyhow, in your case, looks like the TEMP3 is small for whatever kind of work you are trying to do.
