When I give a bewlow command at unix prompt
i.e. ps -ef|grep orcle
I am seeing so many oracle processes. And the count is increasing gradually and making the system very slow.
The output of the above command is as below:

Q: What it is?
A: As you can see those are db connections using PROTOCOL BEQ (which means you are making local db connections on the db box). You are using dedicated connections, so each user connected makes new connection. There is a memory allocation for each connection to keep the session information, temp space, etc. As you know that will keep going until you ran out of memory and your box became SLOW!!!
Q: How do I resolve it?
A: Configure your database instance with MTS (Multi Threaded Server) so the connection can be kept in pool and then recycled. Also you can setup QUEUESIZE parameter a bit higher. It is explained How to do it Here).
Hope that helps,
