Dear All,

Initially oracle is installed with TNS port no as 1521. Then, i have uninstalled it and installed it again in a same manner. Next time, TNS port no generated as 1522.

I have removed all the things from the mount points (Includes OraInventory directory). In mount point /etc/oraTab, I have removed the home path.

I want to know, why and how TNS took 1522 port instead on 1521?

Kindly clarify my doubt.

You didn't remove something.
Check, for instance, /etc/servcies.

Thanks for your reply...

I haven't checked at /etc/services. This time I have deleted all the directories of mount points ans checked the services.

My previous port was 1523 for tnsname.

Now, in services, its showing port no 1512 then 1524. Can you please help me to understand about it?
