I running Oracle8i on WinNT - Does Oracle perfer one file structure over another?

It depends what do you mean under "prefer" !!

Oracle will run under both fs types, but NTFS is better from performance point of view. Also if you are planning to secure your directories - then you need NTFS. In W2K NTFS is the only supported fs type.
