Is this the correct forum to ask questions about Oracle CPU's?

I ran the CPU-JUL-2012 on a workstation for version 11.1.0.7, got Return Code 0 and "OPatch Succeeded".

Yet a Retina scan ran after shows no change....?

I've tried reading the availability document, but I have no experience at Oracle patching.

Complete. What information in the output do you want to see? It lists Oracle Home, Patch Version, and other items. Also has a long list of "Bugs Fixed".

C:\oracle\product\11.1.1\as_1>opatch lsinventory

So you should see your CPU (by its patch number) and/or the set of bugs it fixes
