hi,
I am trying to connect to remote database using a database link,but am getting the error as

ORA-02068: following severe error from dblink_name
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

the dblink have been used previously...but this error is being encountered recently. If I connect to the
user using sqlplus usrnam/passwd@connect_string I am able to do so. Also another user of the remote database
gets connected using a diff dblink.
Oracle version 7.3 on unix.
What would be the problem ?

If you have ORA-03113, that means that trace file was generated. Look at this trace file for some clues.

Also can you identify which piece of code generates this errors. Then write exception handler to catch the error message and code. That should give you more clues.
