Hi all,

can any one say, which one is better with oracle, windows? linux?. my circle is suggest to me linux debian with oracle is better. is debian is desktop or server? pls can anyone suggest which one is better? I already done with oracle 11g installation with windows. I don't face any problems much. I used pl/sql command line passed some quires as well as good. is it better with continue windows? or try linux ? if linux then debian is ok? or try some other ubundu? like that, pls advise, thanks in advance !

Windows 64-bit works excellent. For linux you might try Oracle Linux

Very Thanks For Your Comments @ Flyby ! I don't mean about compatibility. I just need trend at higher end companies ! I here that linux, unix better in security. Specially in virus guard. Is it?

This is an Oracle forum, if you want information about OS virus-sensitivity I think you should find another forum.
Anyway, viruses are not a concern for a database server has there is only one thing on the database server: the database engine.

Dear Michel thanks, I don't need which OS is better in virus-sensitivity, I just need which OS highly used for oracle in market. that's all. Platform is always important. When I started to install there are 2 links Linux - 64/86 Bit, Windows 32/64 Bit, So wanna know which one is better for oracle Smile

. this is small thing I know, because there are many things in oracle have to learn, just Wanna clarify. anyhow thanks again. but I don't have such an ideas about leave this forum Very Happy
