Hi ,

Pls can anyone help me to solve the error occuring
when i try to connect with a remote Database server.

When i try to ping using tnsping the error
TNS-03506: Failed to create address binding

I had gone through the TNS names specified and it is correctly declared.
And also there no network problem between the servers.I verified that using ping <IP>.

Pls send the details immediately to solve the problem.

actually, tnsnames.ora entries have a few wierd restrictions.
like
DESCRIPTION should start in the first column and
(ADDRESS_LIST=) should start in the second column
etc.
pls post your tnsnames.ora entry.
and
to start with remove (ADDRESS_LIST=) in your tnsnames.ora entry

ok. the question is a littlie bit old, but i haŽd now the same problem. the solution was very simple

one of the brackets was not colsed.

als in case of tns-03506 check the syntax of your tnsnames.ora
