hi,
I am configuring two node RAC on oracle virtual box. Did its mandatory to configure DNS on both nodes before Rac installation?
Whats the purpose of DNS in RAC. And if its mandatory did i have to configure DNS on each node separately?

I use a third node as the DNS server, the DHCP server, and also to serve out the shared storage (either NFS and iSCSI). And don't use the DNS and DHCP facilities provided by VirtulBox.
