Hi everybody,
What are the meanings of "Named User Perpetual" and "Processor Perpetual" ? I saw these terms in description of Oracle products, which are as follows :
1) Oracle Database Standard Edition Named User Perpetual
2) Oracle Database Standard Edition Processor Perpetual

When you get Oracle license, you can get it based on number of CPU on your server at $40,000 per cpu - (Processor Perpetual)
Or you can get it based on named users where you get license for say 30 users at $800 per user - (Named User Perpetual)
So a 2 cpu server will cost $80,000
or a 30 user environment will cost $24,000.
