Problem of creating Control File [message #52495]

Hello,

I've got with control file.
When I create my new database, I've got an error in the alertfile.log. theerror message is :

alter database "rep3" mount exclusive
Fri Jul 26 12:06:25 2002
ORA-00202: controlfile: 'D:databasesACCREP3controlcontrol_ACR301.ctl'
ORA-27041: unable to open file
OSD-04002: unable to open file
O/S-Error: (OS 2) The system cannot find the file specified.

but I've control directory and Files. all is good. I don't understand.
I've ever tested to change directory of control files and I've ever tested to change the name of control file, but I've the error

probably, when u are creating a new database..its expecting the control file should be there at that locaion...so check wether the Control file is present at the above location is with the same name or not...

Hii,
I think when the new database is getting created, it was looking for the corresponding control file at the above location..so check it wether the control file with the same name is existing or not ...
