Hi
I'm working as an ETL developer and my responsibility is to load data in oracle table by using different conditions. Now my project manager want me to create test script/test case for all my tables that I successfully loaded in oracle tables. Can anyone guide me how to create test cases?. Thanks

Generally speaking, you'd provide CREATE TABLE statement, input data (such as a CSV file), script you used to load data (if it was SQL*Loader, you'd provide a control file). Optionally, take log files as well as files of bad and discarded records.

Though, I suppose that you'd rather ask your manager and ask him/her what exactly he/she expects so that you wouldn't waste your time doing something he/she doesn't want/need.

Thanks for the reply, I asked this question to my manager and he told me the same thing that you advised above . In addition, if you can send me or refer me some sample or template for Test case then I really appreciate it. Thanks

I'm not sure what "sample" or "template" you expect; you should just provide stuff you work with every day. I don't have them, you do. What's the problem, really?

Thanks for the replies. I went through the provided link and it was good and gave me more idea about how to create test case.

actually I need some starting point to start use case and if I have some template or sample then I have got better idea to achieve my goal. Thanks
