we had a db working fine.....suddenly we face some os issue ....
we just take a proper shutdown of db ......
and then try restart os ...
os never comes up.
we have db installed in separate drive tahn C:\(where os reside)
..
..
now the os is instaaled again...
oracle is gone?
i have left with app folder and all the database file in other drive
..
i do the fresh oracle installation/...
now what things from the old app folder should i replace in new app folder created to get all the data back??
i guess only oradata folder and dbs folder will be enogh?

Hi,
While you respond to Michel's questions, did you try starting up without changing anything in app folder? Based on your details I would assume your app folder is not impacted by OS re-installation and hence all you need to create your Oracle service (Windows) and set-up the environment as required.
You also said "You have created a new database"? does this mean you never tried bringing up the old DB?
Thanks
Ramana
