Hi,

I have read the term "seed data" and am unsure of it's meaning. Is "seed data" test data included within a database eg Like Access's Northwind database.

Thanks In Advance

I worked in a PowerBuilder shop a few years ago and
we use to use this term. We refered to "Seed Data" as
the data in our referece tables. The metaphor being
that this reference data ultimately gets "planted"
into the application data tables. Some folks might
also refer to this as "Domain Data".
