Hi,

When I try to exp the database (as a backup) I got the error

EXP-00008: ORACLE error 3113 encountered
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully

Any idea ?
We are using AIX 4.3 & Oracle 8.1.5

curious,
did you just set up JVM by running initjvm.sql and trying to do a full database or schema level export?

Are you trying to do direct export? What is your buffer parameter? Are you trying any character conversion?

Can you post your parameter file and env variables?

By the error I can see you are doing a remote export and not local. Does the client have the same version of Oracle that the server is running. If not that is the problem.
