Hi everyone,

I run oracle 8.1.7 on windows 2000. Yesterday when I tried to get in to one of my databases I received ora-01033 error message. I did wait and try to get in, no success. I restarted the server same thing. I rostored the database from the tape backup, no luck. Does anebody have a clue how to fix this problem. I need to get in to this dabase.

Hi Alex,

Try doing a "startup force" from svrmgrl.
