I have configured an Oracle 11g Database and it is on a localhost (127.0.0.1: 1158). I have a custom application connecting to this local host but the application is receiving a Socket Error because no response from server. I just want so that when my application connect to Oracle LocalHost, the Localhost replies with a "Hello". Any help would be nice. THANKS!!

Yes browser can connect and it goes to Database Control. The application connects to the local host and waits for Hello response. Then get socket error because no response.

OK so we know that webserver & DB are operational.

When was last time application worked without error?
What changed since then?
How can we reproduce what you report?

Why do you expect any solution from here when you have posted absolutely no meaningful details?
Effectively you posted the equivalent of the following below:

my car won't go.
tell me how to make my car go.
