With 11.2.0.3, QoS is available for non-Exadata installations (part of QoS, anyway). I want to recommend using it, but I haven't managed to simulate a sufficiently realistic environment to demonstrate its effectiveness. Has anyone tried it yet? On Exadata or not?
Related to this, if you are NOT using QoS, can you think of any reason not to disable the ora.oc4j resource?
Any insight will be gratefully received.
