ORA-28035 Cannot Get Session Key for Authentication while using Radius [message #559476]

I get the above error while trying to connect using sqlplus.

I know that I have got all the setting correct, as this server is set up exactly the same as another 3 server that I have set up, and those server work ok.

I have placed wire-shark (while the radius server is on another m/c as wire-shark on windows can not monitor the loop-back) onto the Oracle server, too see what it is saying too the Radius server, but it is not talking too it at all, so how can it get a error of ORA-28035, when it not even talking too the Radius server.

I have also set TRACE_LEVEL_CLIENT and TRACE_LEVEL_SERVER too 16, but I can not see anything useful in the log file.

ORA-28035: Cannot Get Session Key for Authentication
 *Cause:  Client and server cannot negotiate shared secret during logon
 *Action: User should not see this error.
          Please contact your system administrator

I know what the error means, but as it is not talking the the radius server, so it can not be "Client and server cannot negotiate shared secret during logon" too know that it would have too talk to the Radius server first.

But WE don't know all the errors by heart and the first step to know your problem is to search the error meaning. I did it, even if I don't know the solution I want to prevent others from wasting their time to search for the error, so I posted its meaning.

On this server is has never worked.

When I set up the first server, I wrote down all the things that I did, and then duplicated them on the other servers.

The other 2 server set up after that work ok, this is the four server that I have set up, and is the same as another server that I have set up, except that this server is 11.2.0.1.0 and the other server was 11.1.0.6.0, both are on the exact same OS and use the same version of Radius, I am think more than likely that it is a Bug in 11.2.0.1.0, I guess I am just hoping that someone might have come across the same problem, and its not a bug in Oracle, as it is a production server I can not take it down too upgrade it as it is used 24/7.
