Hi,
I hope someone can give some info about the following:
We are goiing to use the DBMS_LDAP package in our
Oracle 8.1.7 database soon. When new orders will be entered in our core tables, the DBMS_LDAP functions will update an remote ldap database.
My question is: does anyone have found any catches, in general, when using the ldap package in Oracle?
I know this is a very general question, but indeed,I am interested in any comment.
Thanks in advance !!

I've used it for username/password validation from the LDAP server as well as extracting users and their current email addresses from LDAP. I used a Netscape LDAP server.
See the examples in .../product/8.1.7/ldap/demo
Be sure to get the ldap base right (view it in properties of an email user in your email client).
