Disagree. If I wanted a page like that, there has always been the far superior and organised Documentation Library http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/indexes/documentation/index.html?ssSourceSiteId=ocomen

What I want when I go to Tahiti is a simple gateway to the doco of the Edition of Oracle I happen to be using that day. Now I have to go searching through a big list.

Back to bookmarks for me.

Ah, my bad. I thought that "improved" (as opposed to "improved") will make the difference. I was misunderstood (as if I were an artist).

What I really meant was: no, it is not an improvement. We all used it, many people were pointed to Tahiti to search & read documentation. All these previous links are now useless.

Maybe they (Oracle) should have left the "original" page hidden somewhere behind the link ("Click here to go to the old Tahiti").

Ah yes. I see now. Nuance is not the Internet's strong suit.

How long do we think it will last before Tom Kyte (Oracle's Voice of Reason) slaps some sense into them?

(I really don't know anything about how Oracle (as a company) works.)

Not that long if he talks to technical staff, longer if he needs to fight the bureaucracy. If it is Larry Ellison who is to decide, well, it depends on his whereabouts (maybe there's no mobile signal where he's sailing at the moment) /forum/fa/10057/0/.
