Hi

We have recently migrated from Oracle 10G to Oracle 11G.
We had used PITSS tool for migrating Oracle Forms.
After deployment in Production we are facing a issue such as few users are getting hanged while they are using forms.
It is difficult to reproduce since it happens ocassionaly for few users. Can any one please suggest.

If you compare computers of users that have problems with computers of users that don't have problems, what do you see?

You should answer the question that you have been asked, instead of re-posting the same question. If it happens on some systems, but not on others then you need to look at what is different. For example, Windows is infamous for dozing. It may be the operating system of the client. Otherwise, if it is not consistent with different machines, then you need to identify exactly what they are doing that is different and find the difference there. Otherwise, if all you can say is that sometimes it freezes and sometimes it doesn't, what do you expect us to say?

Hello,
I'm having the same problem. And this happens on several machines, all running Windows 7 and Core i3 processors above. We are using Oracle Forms 11g.
Can anyone help us?

what version of jre ir jinit??

what os and version is the server? Oracle Linux Server release 5.7
what exact version is app server? 11.1.2.0.0
jinitiator or jre? JRE or JDK, I don't remeber...
what version of jre ir jinit?? 1.6.0_12
what browser? IExplore, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

Hello hroatti
this is regarding the Oracle forms "freezing issue" that you reported back in 2012
was the Issue ever resolved?
several years later, we just had a system migration from 6i to 11g and are struggling with same complains from several users
we would appreciate if you could share any information

You may want to try JRE 1.7 instead of 1.6. I don't recall if that was certified or not. Are you on a load balancer? I used to have freeze problems when the "sticky" session would lose which server it was on and think it was on the other server, which of course had no connection, so it would just freeze.
