hi any one help me how to create the standby database on the same machine. os-window xp 2000(32 bit window) oracle 10g 10.2.0.1.0.
step by step.

No idea, sorry, but - what operating system is "Windows XP 2000"? It is either "Windows XP", or "Windows 2000", not both (as far as I can tell, but I might be wrong).
