Hi All,
Is there a threshold for context switches and/or system calls in HP-UX.
Theres 4 Intel Itanium 2 9100 1.59 GHz, 24 MB (dual-core) on this host.
Yesterday I saw a high of 1.363.312.955 system calls per hour and 49.730.716 context switches per hour.
I dont know what the peak/sec was but his would average approximately 380.000 system calls/sec and 14.000 context switches/sec.
The CPU utilization was at max 80% used, but I'm concerned there is a bottleneck due to the high amount of context switches and system calls.
Thanks!
