Hi,

We are currently on Oracle 9i. We are being asked to move to 11g. Currently we do not have any issues and have to move to 11g only because 9i is no longer supported. We understand that 11g comes with its own advantages. Apart from the advantages in moving to 11g and not having support if we are in 9i we want to understand if there is a risk in remaining with 9i. For instance is there a possibility of hitting certain issues in 9i because of obsolescence.

Thank you for your time.

Regards
Madhu

You can no more patch your OS and change your server too.
If all stay as it is then there is not more risk than the one you currently have.

Michel
