Hi Irfan,

Seems you want to become dba in one night.. maan cool.
DBA.. means..now a day's had a lot of reponsible for the data...

As people think that and every know dba job is very easy job.. but the envoronment make it diffcult..
Any take out some imp things:

1.First understand the data flow
2.DAtabase Designing
3.user mangement/gerneranl administration (critical)
3.Plan for the data any time live... understand all the case studies.. catch the best polices..
4.Network.. Networks..networking... very imp
6.Tune u'r database..

Then Apart from all these.things.. u should be very coool and confidence.. good communication..

Cheers
Hop u can become the best dba..
