Hi

I am installing an application which gives this error

Checking environment ...
>>>Thu Jan 12 16:18:45 CET 2012 Error: Missing library libclntsh.so.10.1 
in Oracle client Directory /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/xe/lib !!


application user is in "dba" group

$ id -a oracle
uid=50120(oracle) gid=50120(dba) groups=50120(dba)
$ id -a ess
uid=56088(ess) gid=50127(ess) groups=50120(dba),50127(ess)


there is no such file

# find /u01/app/oracle/ -iname libclntsh.so.10.1



$ cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.1 (Santiago)

do as below instead

find /u01/app/oracle/ -iname libclntsh\*

you may have different version
do as below & post results

echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
