does 'SVRMGRL', server manager line mode exists on Oracle9i?

SVRMGRL does not exist in 9i.
from prompt use
sqplus "sys/password@hoststring as sysdba"
once u login, sql prompt appears. u can use it as the regular svrmgrl !

pretty much the same procedure as of previous versions.
install oracle binaries first.
during the installing go for custom installation.
and dont choose any starter database.
after the binary is installed u can use the configuration assistant to create a custom database or
write a script with create datatabase statements etc...
run it as sys,. run the catalog.sql and other scripts also
